Update from the Road

Heya kids. Jut wanted to drop a quick note and let everyone know that I'm alive and well in Fremont CA. The accomodations for my Unitek A+, Net+, and Security + boot camp are clean and spacious. Folks have been great and I'm looking forward to the first class session. We're all sitting in the room as I type this and just waiting for the class to start.

Not much more than that to report.

Oh - to my San Fran peeps - looks like a friend of mine and I may wind up taking the BART up there next Wednesday - anyone around/free?

Oooo, techie cert boot camps. Yeah, I did one of those to get my MCSE and my CCNA certs. It's an intense experience, but worth it. :) When you getting back to the East Coast?

Yeah - pretty psyched about it, I have to say.

I'm not sure how much it will help me directly with my job, but it's stuff that I should know anyway.

Plus? Not so bad on a resume.

As Jason told me once, in the tech industry, certs without experience are mostly worthless, but certs PLUS experience are pure gold. :)
