New Artwork!

My favorite piece of artwork that I've done for Nevermet Press is up on the 'latest content' page, or you can get to it directly on the post page itself.

This work called for a hunter from a frozen tundra turned killer seeking the death of the woman responsible for the destruction of his village. I just channeled my inner berserker norse warrior and went to town.

I'd be mad, too, if I didn't have eyeballs. Overall, I like it. Black eyes, while an interesting... crap, can't think of the word... technique? style? method of conveying a blackened heart? Anyway, I've seen them enough in similar art that I think they're a bit of a cheat. Maybe they're just a work-around given the limitations of space and black-and-white and time availability. Or maybe mean-as-death eyes are just hard.

hmmm.... perhaps a challenge?

Thank you thank you thank you! While I adore all the praise people have been giving me for it, it's really fantastic to get such clearly thought out criticism on an image's weaker points.
