Dear LazyWeb...

I'm looking for reviews and information on a couple different things and I'm just wondering where the other tech savvy people in my life go for such things. I know that [livejournal.com profile] boutell was using consumer reports - which is arguably one of the best, but I'm cheap and was looking to do this for free. Any recommendations?

The items I'm looking for are:
Antivirus software (other than Norton or McAffee - since they both consume entirely too many resources for me to be happy about using them...

...and a tablet PC. I'm just shopping at this point and I know that there's a whole new architecture on it's way in the spring, so I'm not soopah likely to buy right now, but I thought that I should learn a little more about what's out there - and you just never know.

I always go to cnet.com. They have really good articles -from how to's to buying guides to top ten lists. I also use their download.com site a bunch - it's where I get most of my freeware/shareware.

Yeah - I headed there after posting this and it looks like they may have most, if not all, of what I need. Thanks for the heads up.
