oh, that's so awesome! *applause* i love it!

[identity profile] mrlich.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks chica! I had a lot of fun doing it... now if I could do some more - but NOT at 2:30 in the morning!

[identity profile] shellefly.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I love it!
Of course, I am totally biased.
I like the front-facing shot of Jill in Panel 2 - it really looks like her!

[identity profile] mrlich.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course. ;)

I have to apologize though, I feel like I didn't do you justice. I was very surprised to find how few pictures I seem to have of you. I'll have to fix that for future strips!

Wheee!

[identity profile] shellefly.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Whee, more Matt art with me in it!
I love it!

somewhere along the line, you'll have to draw a panel featuring my lower back. :)
xtingu: (stormhumper)

You got her boobs right though. :-D :-D

Awwwwwwwwww yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

[identity profile] boutell.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a very good Jill.

But I don't get the joke! O NOES!

[identity profile] mrlich.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
My apologies if you got this already sir, but I thought I should post it publicly:

Thank you sir!

The joke is a reference to the movie 300. The line is actually in the
previews ("Madness? This is SPAR-TA!").

The idea was to say that the house has a bit too much testosterone
every now and then. :)

That and the fact that I just like the idea of naming the strip 1100.

[identity profile] boutell.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah! It is my cultural disconnectedness at fault! Thank you sir.

[identity profile] mrlich.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

I fear this comic can only end in horrible tragedy. (due to it's cast) Fortunately I have popcorn.

[identity profile] mrlich.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry... I'm dumb - I don't follow you.

[identity profile] ms-violet.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
I think he's looking forward to the drama. as am I. can't wait to see what the other bachelors look like; you were most spot-on with [livejournal.com profile] xtingu.

[identity profile] darknbitter.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
[livejournal.com profile] ms_violet is correct, I meant crazy strange things would have to happen with the group of personalities you're pulling from. And I am looking forward to reading about them =)

[identity profile] ms-violet.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought comic strips were supposed to depend on exaggeration. if there were more testosterone in that house, there would be no oxygen.

[identity profile] mrlich.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I assure you that I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Or something.

[identity profile] bnl52577.livejournal.com 2007-07-11 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Come talk to me when you can do something of quality, like this.

-Paul

P.S. I dig it. I'd love to see more!

[identity profile] mrlich.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
Wow. Yeah. That was... something. I'll... ummm... try to do better next time.

[identity profile] mrknowitall.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Excellent! Let us know if you start doing it regularly, I'd be thrilled to add it to my webcomic reading list.

[identity profile] mrlich.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
I'm actually not ever planning on doing it regularly. That could change, but right now I just want to do some things that have been floating in my back brain for a number of years.

Of course, with the kind of response that this first one got...
