Sep. 21st, 2003 12:58 pmOne more week. One more week in NY training for the new job, and then I get to sleep in my own bed for a while. What a concept. Don't get me wrong - I'm definately having fun in NY, but I am ready to get back to my old routine. I miss the net. A lot. I can log in while I am there, but it costs me $5 / hour, so if you haven't heard from me in a while, don't take it personally.
ION: I am still having system problems galore here, so I am going to have to fork over the mulah for Windows XP (damn you Bill) in order to fix the USB port problems I have been having. On the plus side? That would mean that the cam and the digi - tab would work (which would equate to cam chats and new digital artwork).
Which brings me to the next point: The website is down. There was no warning - there was no opportunity to move stuff. Don't worry - I have a backup. I believe that hackers hit the webhost, and that's the cause for it being down. What does this mean? Well, at the least there's about 10-12 people a day going to look for my website and thinking I am an idiot for nut updating or forwarding people. In a more long term sense, it means that it's time to start again.
kar0na had pointed out a fistfull of problem areas for me, and I think that I would like to start from scratch. A whole new site on a whole new server.
So what will be different about the new site? Well... for one: I want a new motorcycle. To this end, I am willing to prostitute myself. (Not that it takes much - professional artists are, by their very nature, whores.) I am still working on the details, but I will be offering a variety of services and all moneys made through the site will go into an account for a motorcycle. I'll definatelt post here when I have more info for you.
