Big Brother vs. Spam and Zombies

Just curious what you peeps think about this story in Yahoo news.

It kinda creeps me out a little on multiple levels:

-The idea that my pc could become a 'zombie' isn't new to me, but having the ramifications of such a thing explained so clearly bugs me out.

-The fact that the US govt. is able to come down on this guy and put him away for potentialy 'multiple decades' kinda creeps me out even more.

On the plus side: Less spam in my inbox? Oh yeah - gimme some more of that!

I just overheard the woman in the cube behind me talking on the phone. I believe she's looking into insurance to start her own cleaning company.
