After the Smoke Clears...
Nov. 9th, 2008 08:16 pm...me and KG peaaak out our heads...
Ahem.
I just wanted to drop by and let folks know that things are going well in the world of NaNoWriMo. After a much needed kick in the pants, I quit my whining and got down to work.
I entered this weekend a full three days plus in the hole, and I am now (drum roll please) a couple hundred words ahead of schedule! There are, of course, a million things that will need to be heavily edited when the month is over, but I'm doing what everyone says is critical: not editing. It's tough to do, or rather not do when you know that the stuff you just wrote needs to be fixed. However, if I want to make this work, I don't dare get caught in that trap.
Now, as a treat to myself for getting ahead, I think that I'm going to do some concept art of some of the characters.
Don't worry gang, I can hear Han now:
"That's great kid - don't get cocky!"
