How to Know that You're Not Quite Over It™
Feb. 5th, 2009 09:38 amWarning - not quite bellyaching ahead.
Yeah, so I took off of work on Tuesday. Came into work yesterday, but by lunch I knew that was the wrong choice and went home an hour early.
This morning, after my shower, I felt pretty good. Not great, but good enough that I knew that the stuff I needed to get done at the office was far more important than some extra sleep/recovery time.
When I get to the office, I have a pretty standard routine. I get myself a bowl of instant oatmeal and a cup of coffee and then hit the emails and review the ticket queue/my tasks for the day.
This particular morning, I poured about 4 times the correct amount of hot water into my oatmeal and I dumped about half the creamer for my coffee not just outside the cup, but down the front of the cabinets. I did all this rather slowly. Guess I'm not as over this thing as I thought that I was.
