Date: 2005-09-07 12:17 am (UTC)That's awesome that the two of you are getting them done together. I wouldn't ask you to post the actual design work of yours, but would you be willing to email me a pic when the work is done? Would love to see what you did!

Tattoo thoughts
Date: 2005-09-07 12:40 am (UTC)I want one either on a shoulderblade or at the base of my spine. Definitely on my back.
This is what I want to wear on my body: the essence of a storm. A ship lost at sea. The primal elements taking over the world of man in a way we can't conquer or some times even survive. Water as Goddess and Vengeance ... and as Freedom.
I never give you easy answers, do I?

Date: 2005-09-07 01:55 am (UTC)Both are quite simple, but they mean something to each of us. And I would absolutely show you . ^^
I talked to the shop we're going to just this evening. I'm so excited.
For the past few years, I've been writing a novel about a group of vampires, (probably more than you want to know about me..^^) But part of mine can actually be seen here.

It's the bit on his shoulder. Kind of simple, nothing as beautiful and intricate as your design, but it has a special place in my heart, and it's something I'd like to carry around with me... you know?
Mine would be on the inside of my wrist though.
Tam's is actually an armband composed of a series of egyptian symbols with an Egyptian Pharaoh hound at the center.
See what a can of worms you opened up. ^^ I could talk all night. Quick, run away when I take a breath. ~.O
I'm as excited to take this road trip though, it's been quite a hard summer. Lot's of stress with my sweetie getting shot and all. :(
Looking forward to a less stressful fall, that's full of change and happiness.

Date: 2005-09-07 03:46 am (UTC)Excellent! I look forward to it.
Actually, I think that I knew that. At the very least I knew that you had a 'cast of characters' that you were workin on in your artwork. Sounds like I have one more thing to look forward to now... ;)
Both sound great. Sometimes... actually, I think that should be 'most of the time', I think that simple is best. My armband (my only tattoo) is realatively simple celtic knotwork of a knot that is symbolic of eternal love. A bit hokey? Perhaps, but a friend of mine always said that I wear my heart on my sleeve. Now I do literally. :) Can't wait to see pictures!
Don't think that I'm going anywhere just yet. Cans of worms can be fun.
I must confess. I got a little lost here. Roadtrip? I'm alllll about roadtrips, but I'm not sure which roadtrip you're talking about. Was that in one of your posts? (I must confess that I sometimes skim posts and just view artwork - I have so many people in my flist and so little time...)
And on that very note: Your sweety was shot? Now that I know that I somehow managed to miss. I'm very sorry to hear it. Is he alright?

Regardless of how quickly I finish the book, there will be lots more artwork on the subject, they take up way too much space in my head.

A lad after my own heart. ^^ Hokey... hell no.
This will be my first tattoo, I'm a little nervous, but really excited.
**Roadtrip? I'm alllll about roadtrips, but I'm not sure which roadtrip you're talking about.**
*facepalm*
I thought I mentioned in it my reply. ^^ Not enough sleep or caffiene I guess. I got my bike last year, and Tam gots her's this year, and we are taking our maiden road trip together. ^^ The first of many, I'm expecting. Craig and I have been all over the place, but my girl and I have not. We're driving down a lovely stretch or road following the St. Croix rivier Valley between Minnesota and Wisconsin this weekend. (highway 35 if you ever get the pleasure. Not the interstate mind you, but a little county highway) Staying in some out of the way place that very well may have a guy with on tooth sitting on the porch playing dueling banjos. ~.O HAh! But we'll take our chances. This has been a long time coming.
**Your sweety was shot?**
Yeah. We went to Calfornia for some motorcycle races (US MotoGP) at the beginning of July, and the week we got back he was driving home from work , he's a waiter, and he stopped to see a friend. Anyway, when he was heading home, a couple guys pulled a gun on him and demanded his wallet. He figured that he'd have a better chance of survival if he could get away, and being that he was on a bike he hit the gas a got out of there. But they fired a shot and it hit just below his shoulder blade on the right side. He stayed on the bike and tried to make it to the precinct station but actually passed it, and crached into the oncoming lane of traffic in front of a squad car.
He spent a week in the hospital with a chest tube, but walked away with two broken ribs, two broken toes, alot of road rash and a bullet. He was very, very lucky. He's going to be just fine. I'll tell, that is not a call you want to get in the middle of the night.
I didn't really say much about it on my journal because it felt like I was whining about it. There are alot of people who have alot of problems, and whenm I can avoid throwing mine in the ring, it just seems better.
well. Those are all my worms. ^^
And you. ~.O
Re: Tattoo thoughts
Date: 2005-09-07 12:48 pm (UTC)Amen sistah. Remind me sometime to tell you about my 'overarching plan' for the 'rest of my tattoos' sometime.
I never give you easy answers, do I?
Now what fun would THAT be??
I'll have to sit with you sometime and just brainstorm, or mentally vomit on paper for some ideas.
Re: Tattoo thoughts
Date: 2005-09-07 01:46 pm (UTC)That would be great - not only the company and the idea-bouncing but the impromptu Patch art.
