Did a 5 minute sketch of Ghost Rider in honor of the new movie starring Nick Cage. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that it's not going to blow chunks.

Also had the good fortune of hanging with the ever lovely [livejournal.com profile] shellefly tonight, and get a little hot Barne's and Noble action. Armed with our trusty laptops, we went to town. She knocked out some words and I... well... I'm working on something a little different. More soon.

[livejournal.com profile] xtingu had her first full day at the new gig. I won't steal her thunder, but sounds like it went pretty well. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that everything just keeps getting better - I think you'll all agree with me that she deserves it.

Alrighty. It's way past my bed time and here I am talking to you lunatics! I'm out of here like... something witty goes here!

I envy people who can be creative after midnight. I'm never in a concious state at that time and on the rare occassions that I am, I'm useless anyway. Ha ha.

Oh... I don't know about that. I mean - maybe the hour and all, but according to your recent post (http://lafemmekatia.livejournal.com/6202.html), it sounds like you've got me beat by a mile in the 'productive' department!

I'm actually jealous of the work itself. I miss terribly working on stuff like drywall and painting and windows and stuff. I'm finishing my girlfriend's cabinet, but that's a very 'quick' project.

I'm also thrilled beyond words to hear that things seem to be so much on an 'up swing' for you. I hope it just keeps getting better. ;)

From what I understand, Cage is a HUGE Ghost Rider fan and may have even had a big part in input for the character/movie in general. So... if that's true, the movie should rock and even most purists happy with it.

At least that's my limited undestanding from the comic book geek that I live with. ;)

Yeah. Wish I wasn't as worried about it as I am. A lot.

My fear is that they'll do what they seem to be doing with a LOT of peripheral characters lately (ie Fantastic Four etc) - they think that if you throw a couple big names and some special effects into a hat, you get a hit movie.

Sad part is that they're right.

It's just not a good movie.

I have heard (like your informant) that Cage is a huge fan. I'm a little cynical in that regard though and think that every studio always "let's the rumor out" that one of the stars is a 'huge fan of the genre' because they know it gets us geeks buzzing about the movie like I'm doing right now.

Again. Time will tell.

Problem is that I just REALLY want this one to completely RAWK.

Biker demon with a skull of fire riding a chopped out Harley fueled by brimstone and hell fire?

Yeah. Where do I sign and does it need to be in blood?
