Okay, so I often avoid standard Left vs. Right politics. I just generally feel that folks are too damn stuck in their ways to make it a worthwhile conversation. A bit defeatist of me, perhaps, but it's generally how I roll.

That being said - I think that EVERYONE should go and read this post by glamour_junkie right now.

There are aspects of this world that just plain terrify me. A lot of them start with the letters G and W and B, but then someone like glamour_junkie makes a post and I start thinking that there's hope again.

I'm trying to be more proactive and positive about my rage at "the way things are", and I'm trying to get into the mindset that I CAN try to make my world more like "the way things should be".
I'm glad it made you a little more hopeful.

Ok, so maybe you're not going to single-handedly deliver us from *cough*ourpresident*cough* but I'd be more than willing to bet you accomplish a lot once you set your mind to it.
