Band Schedules

Lovely. The band who is on before IJG is just now getting started. IJG was supposed to go on at 11. Don't think that's going to happen. Problem with that isn't really the time, but rather, I predict, that the crowd will be thinned to almost nothing by the time we get started. :(

dude, what shows have you been going to?

in this neck of the woods, the headliner never goes on until at least 11:30. this is a good thing.

if the crowd is mostly under 35 and the venue is a fairly popular one, the audience should thick rather than thin over the opener's set.

While a agree conceptually, there's a couple of issues in this case:

1. While a later show makes things a little more elite and hip in a locale/venue that can support it, this is Columbus Ohio in a recently-changed-hands cafe.

2. This show didn't take place on the weekend, but rather in 'North Campus' in the middle of the week.

That having been said, I think that things went pretty damn well. The house was pretty well packed, and the crowd was rivited to the band, and very responsive.

I have to say that it's pretty fucking awesome seeing/hearing a crowd go nuts for the band and my girl. It's definitely one of those 'life is good' moments.
