Yeah - we're more than a little psyched. We may have to have you come paint some designs on the wall. [livejournal.com profile] xtingu and I are both in love with your front room wall design.

Yeah - now if only we had a good friend who lived close by who could come over often and help us fill the place with good vibes. Know anyone?

Actually - we don't have to worry about the curtain front. The previous owners left theirs for us so that we wouldn't have to worry about it!

You're Ho-Moaners now! Congrats!

A word of warning and hopefully comfort: everyone I know (including me), at some point in the first year of owning their own home, feared they had bought a money pit. This is normal. Things go wrong. You will survive.

I still own random yard stuff, should you find yourselves in need come Spring.

Thank you so much!

I think that we both understand that there will be problems. That's a given in life in general. The thing that thrills us to death is the fact that we recognize that but feel overall like we really got something of a steal. The previous owners took exceptional care of it and were planning on making this house their 'last stop'. Life changed their plans and we benefitted. :)

I always had you pegged as a homooooowner. *looks around, wary of attack* But seriously: congrats to you both. Hard work, but totally worth it for a place with as powerful a threshold as you seem to have inherited. Houses are tough enough to buy in today's market. But getting what sounds like it's already, instantly a "home"? Score one for the good guys.

I can't wait to do something permanent there.
...Yeah, I'm'a just leave it at that.

Thank you sir. We do seem like we have a leg up in the whole 'getting it to feel like a home'. However, the thing that really makes a house into a home is good times spent in the place with people that you care about.

We'll be expecting you.

Yeah, we've already experienced a touch of that, and I'm sure it will revisit us in the near future - at least to some degree. However, the general sense of the place is more ohmygodwegotourselvesasteal!

And now I feel like I understand the holeecrapIcan'twaittoshowyoumyplace that you've experienced.
