House Stuff (in Brief)

Just a quick note for those of you who might not be reading xtingu's journal (why would you not read it??)

Anyway, I just wanted to pop my head in and let everyone know that the house stuff is going swimmingly. That's not to say that there's less than tons of work to be done, but I can see a real progress being made. I'll be gathering a lot of the remaining 'small stuff' from her appartment while she's away visiting our neighbors to the north this week. I'm a little jealous - sounds like there's a whole lotta snow going on up there.

The only other 'complaint' that I have is that I am dying to use some of the space that we now have to start setting up a studio of sorts in the basement, but there's just not time... yet. I set up my desktop pc last night which means that there will surely be some digital sketchwork coming soon, but that's about all that I felt like I could justify squeezing in. I want to focus on getting her out of her apartment. Then, jafosmite is looking to move into my room at 1100, so I'm trying to get my crap out of the guy's way. That's not quite 'urgent' status, but I would like to not be the 'limiting factor' in that scenerio.

Then? Art. Lots and lots of art. Money will (of course) be tight over the holidays this year, so I'm hoping to get some real quality work done. Way I see it? as long as I have the time, I have no other excuses now that I have a place to work and I can make a mess and not have to worry about it. (At least not immediately.)

Ok - I have to get back to work now, but dayam if I don't want to work on a little surprise I have brewing...

Isn't it terribly exciting to have SPACE that's YOURS that you can do whatever the hell you like with? Hooorayyy!!!!

It really is. I feel a little guilty about it though because lotusanddragon has always been uber-cool about me doing stuff in his house, but I was always worried about things like paint messes etc. Here, in the basement, I could throw paint over my shoulders at a canvas if that's what I was feeling!
