mrlich: Photo with great thanks to Joe del Tufo - http://www.deltufophotography.com (Default)
I'm kicking myself for not having posted in an eternity. Yes [livejournal.com profile] kar0na, I know. I should have a long time ago... *grins*

Uh oh. I must be infatuated with Kar0na. I mentioned her in my LJ. Someone call her ol' man and warn him. Next thing you know he'll be in a psyche ward!

Oh no! That's TWICE... in ONE POST. It's hopeless.

*ahem*

Anyway. Work is pretty much the same as before - though I had a decent experience with a gate operator tonight. Either I am getting moderately good at the process, or I had shit luck. I'll leave it up to you True Believer, as to which it is.

Got Josh the Hulk video game for the gamecube.

Sick. And wonderful. I had to fight myself to come home tonight instead of going over there to play. Ben and I got it for him for graduation. I thought about it, and I figured I should get him something... sober... serious... deep and meaningful - like graduation itself. Then I actually laughed out loud at myself and said "Fuck it. Get the kid something fun!" Something so unlike me.

*cough*

You know something? There are still soooo many times I want a cigarette desperately.

Irony.

Scream of consciousness.

Side work is better than the 9-5. Have I mentioned that yet? I am getting some quotes for fence work now, and that's the best. I have done some mulch deliveries and some landscaping work, but that isn't nearly the reward that fence work is. Why? Well, first off, I should point out that the friends/family who are asking for the fencework are going to be surprised by how inexpensive _I_ am compaired to the competition (or my boss for that matter), because I have no overhead to speak of. I get the material cheaper than most folks, and no overhead = low rates. I still will make WAY over my hourly rate at work though. (Which I would have to since I have to do it on my nights and weekends.)

See what happens when I don't post in a while?

War and Peace.

Again.

More at some later date.
