The Me in AD&D Meme

 So I was laying in bed this morning just sorta staring at the ceiling - my feverish brain drifting in some rather odd directions. While there, I came up with a meme that I wanted to do.

The idea is simple enough, and I'd bet dollars to donuts that someone's already done it before me. That isn't really my concern though. I just thought "What would my stats be if I was a DnD character?"

Before anyone asks - yes - I made some modifications. I left some stuff out. I always played loose with the rules because I've never been a rules lawyer.

I also ask a twist - add an image of yourself. If you're a visually creative type, all the better - make it a drawing, a photoshopped image, or even just a good ol' fashioned photo. Whatever. I just always liked an image of my characters, so I left space for it on this 'character sheet'.

That meme is HARD!!! These numbers are on what scale? 1 to 20? 1 to 15? 1 to 300? That's like, work and stuff! You must have a hell of a fever. You must be as sick as I was the time I completely dissected the lyrics to "Mixxed Bizness" and came up with some kind of hypothesis that Beck had taken all the work of Tennesee Williams and distilled it down to three minutes of dance pop.

I'm really proud of that, but I can't replicate it with specifics, so it's lost forever. I have no idea what my temperature was at the time, but I was really sick.

So it's actually a lot easier than it looks - if you used to play DnD that is. (Though I see what you're saying - and yes, I was pretty delirious).

The numbers for stats are based on a roll of 4 six sided dice. You drop the lowest roll (thus leaving 3 numbers) and you total them. This gives you a range for each of these abilities that is from 3-18. "Normal" folks are generally between 9 and 12 for most (if not all) stats. Higher means you're stronger/smarter/etc. Lower... well... you get the idea.

I wanna see you try your fever dream again. Think it would work if we just got enough booze into you? >:}

Once V. and I were out somewhere and I got hammered, and when we got home I yanked a copy of The Collected Lyrics of Bob Dylan off the shelf and started trying to, loudly, offer an interpretation of "Jokerman," and why it's my favorite Bob Dylan song. Needless to say, it made no frigging sense. I have to admit, there are worse things that drunk women can do than try to over interpret folk-rock lyrics.
