but... but... but... trebuchets are fun! You can make your very own, from materials available at your local home improvement store or lumber yard. You can't say the same thing about rocket launchers.
True! And to be truthful, I'm rather fond of them myself - I find the physics of them very fun. My coworker was just in a 'fuck everything' mode, and he was naming random stuff.
The fact that trebuchets were brought up at all is (I feel) a testament to his rockitude.
Whatever one's general stance on trebuchets, it's a decidedly better workplace than average that you have a coworker or coworkers that understand what trebuchets are, and have opinions on them.
Yeah - good thing for me I've been watching PBS all along. ;)
Also - thanks for the heads up on the books. Once I'm done with the one I'm reading now, I think I just might have to check them out. Your review also makes me happy that I've a little of my own live steel in some day-dreaming kinda way...
