Year In Review

Wait. What?

It's not what you think. This is more or less a note to myself to go back through the posts I've made so far this year and add a new tag - "yir". This will make things much easier for me at the end of the year to go back and collect my posts that were important enough at the time to qualify for inclusion in my Year In Review post. I want to do this because I keep on putting off year in review posts because they're overwhelming to me. Case in point? Haven't done 2009 yet. This bothers me.

I got this idea while listening to an episode of the Big Illustration Party Time podcast. They were talking about their year in review, and my brain kinda spiralled sideways. It does that.

How about you? Do you do something to simplify collection / editing your thoughts from throughout the year in advance of a Year In Review (or something similar)?

Coincidentally, I just peeked at my (virtually) dusty "2010 goals" list, something I rarely do. But it does serve to give a dual feeling of accomplishment and inspiration, for items already tackled and those still waiting. I suspect the list itself will become a YIR post.

Yeah - I need to sit down and do some more short - mid - long term goal setting. I really haven't done that, well... ever.
