...so I have an idea. I am going to try to get myself to post every day immediately when I get back from work.

Not that I succeeded in doing that today (after I came up with the idea). Okay - a couple of things that I should have posted but didn't:

1. The Toys for Tots Run: I finally got a chance to go. I should have gone years ago, and I have wanted to be a part of this event for at least a decade. For those who might not be familiar, the Toys for Tots is a charity which gives gifts to chronic and terminally ill children. Every year, local bikers ( A.B.A.T.E. ) set up a run from Trexlertown to the Children's Hospital in Allentown. Almost every year, it seems that I am sitting at the HamFam when the run goes down Hamilton St., and I kick myself for not having taken part for yet another year. That is until this year. This year I proudly rode with a surprising number of brothers (the weather was not so hot) into town to deliver presents. As a side note? I ran into a former boss, and was talking to him for at least an hour before we realized we knew each other. He's as kewl now as he was then - except better because his tastes have shifted from classic cars to classic choppers!

2. Thanksgiving on Long Beach Island: I don't have a whole lot to say here other than (as always) my family knows how to provide entirely too god-damn good a meal. The beach was kewl - and cool.  Ben and Trina came home from Boston for the event and it's been good seeing both of them.

3. My ex's family: They really rock. Her Dad called to let me know that I still had some clothes at their place from a 'recent' shopping trip. I was more than a little nervous to go and pick them up, because I figured it would be an uncomfortable conversation. However, when I got there it felt like nothing was really out of place. I was more than a little bummed that her Mom wasn't there - but I guess I can be choosy. The experience got me thinking about my ex, and how I miss her. I'm not a wreck or anything, but we did spend a long time together, and there are still few people who's happiness matters more to me than hers. I guess I just wish I knew how she is doing.

4. My Boss frustrates me to no end: I know - welcome to Life - right? It's really not a big deal - especially compaired to the sort of problems I hear from other people about their jobs, but hey - this is my damn journal! Today he called me in response to a voicemail I had left him (at least he's started listening to my voicemails rather than just calling me back (making it pointless to actually leave the voicemail in the first place!)). While he had me on the phone, he asked where I was. When I let him know that I was in Easton and just a short distance from his house, he asked if I could take care of a machine problem at one of his customers. No problem - he told me what the problem was and what the solution would be. I try to help out when I can and when it's (at least somewhat) reasonable. He's making me leary to do that though. Today for example. I'm quite certain that if he spoke to his customer at all they told him something very different than he told me. He described something other than what was the real problem. Not really that big a deal except that now, instead of knowing exactly what I am getting into, I now have to go and diagnose and repair. Longer time and more frustration on a day which is already my second longest run. Makes me not want to answer the phone when he calls. I know that the sensible thing would be to discuss this with him, but that presumes that he would listen to any of it and be willing to take responsibility. He's not so good with the R word if you ask me.

5. Donna: She doth rawk. Hard.

That's wonderful!

thanks kiddo - I thought it was pretty kewl, and what's more - it brought a little extra happiness into some lives that can really use it. Would have liked to see a better turn out, but I guess that's for next year!
