Who's a Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum* member?

That would be me baby. That would be me.

*Yeah, I stumbled on the whole Gold/Platinum thing too. I guess they just really want me to think I'm supah valuable.

(Or they think I'm simple minded enough that the Jedi Mind Trick works on me.)

The name of their rewards program is "Hyatt Gold Passport." Even if you're a loser member, it's still called that. But you're even BETTER than puny gold sir! You're platinum! Yay!

Hyatts are great. Enjoy the perks!

BTW -- do you have a corporate card that you use, or do you use a personal card and get reimbursed? if you use a personal card, i HIGHLY recommend you get a Starwood AMEX. every dollar you spend gives you starwood points, which you can redeem for hotel nights OR miles on dozens of airlines. i am a huge starwood AMEX geek.

Jenn, didn't your Starwood points like pay for your honeymoon or something crazy-amazing?

Also... (everyone) check out flyertalk.com -- I rarely log in (maybe 2x / year) but getting their weekly emails is worth it just to see who has sexy point deals going on.

Man, I love nerding out on travel point stuff!

we paid for most of our wedding expenses with the card, and i automate all my bills to it so i just pay 1 bill (the AMEX) every month and get the points on top of it. anything i'd pay cash for i put on the card, because i figure i'd spend the money anyway and i might as well get the points on top of it. we have enough points right now to spend a week fully paid at an island resort we've been in love with for forever. (but we keep saving up because it's fun. :P)

Wheeee!

I'm with you. I've got almost 200,000 points on Southwest, and you can get a free flight with as few as 12,500. Plus I've got a companion pass which means that if someone wants to come with me on my exact itinerary, they can, 100% for free... even if I flew on a free flight myself. Southwest is the tits.

I rack up points so much faster than I can ever spend them. Not a bad problem to have, especially now that Southwest bought AirTran which means international flights. (Mostly Mexico, but still!)

This is really, really interesting to me, because V and I are the only people I know who don't have a credit card that has travel benefits.

I had an Alaska Airlines credit card for years, because their points were the only way I could get back to visit friends. Then there was kerfluffle about mixed up replacement cards, so I no longer have it.

My regular CC has points to use however, but I really do not exploit that feature enough.

I am, too, through some hiccup in the system. The only time I stay there is when I go to Cincinnati for oral argument. Late check-out means I can have my morning argument and come back to the room to change clothes before leaving. Before Platinum? I changed in gas station bathrooms or the parking garage.
