Two Questions

Two simple questions:

1. Who's your favorite superheo of all time. You can pick only one here.

2. Why? What about the hero in number 1 makes them so amazing to you as an individual.

Is that really that simple? I have two.

For 'real' superheros, Spiderman. For the combination of action and wit and the humanity of the hero. Sure, he had powers, but his suit tore, he got beat up and he didn't have any supernatural protections. He was a normal guy who could do some extraordinary things, but in the end he was just a guy facing off against some pretty nasty situations with nothing but a set of tights, some sticky string and a sharp tongue.

However, my secret favorite was the Badger. He appeared in First Comics back in the 80's and 90's. Your basic kung-fu Dr. Doolittle, he was a master of dozens of obscure martial arts and could speak with animals. A champion of the animals, he took out his anger on whomever threatened bird or beast anywhere... and the occasional rude fast-food clerk or jaywalker. Why? Because the Badger was one of seven personalities of Norbert Sykes, a multiple personality. The others were a cocky black pimp (Sykes was white), a little girl, a murderous lumberjack called Lucky Pierre, an effete English gentleman, a delicate domestic engineer who liked doing housework and poor damaged Norbert himself. The comic itself was full of EXCEPTIONAL weirdness, but the exploration of the idea of a superhero being two people (is Bruce Wayne the man or the mask?), taken to the extreme was highly enjoyable.
