 Has anyone else tried recently to upload an animate GIF to LJ?

I tried to modify my TechnoViking icon (seen here), but after I select the file to upload, the only option is 'proceed' which takes you to a screen where you crop your image. I'm pretty sure this process dumps the animation and keeps only whatever you crop. Thus, my animation becomes a still.

Anyone else run into this?

Yeah, a few animated GIFs I found recently wouldn't play when uploaded. they may have eliminated the ability to post them to conserve bandwidth or something lame like that.

Yeah - found it at the bottom of the support page (http://www.livejournal.com/support/). The animated gif has to be under 40k.

Not sure why mine was coming up so damn big, but I fixed it.
