Last night I had a strange dream wherein Pauly Shore was Tom Hanks. I don't mean he /played/ Tom Hanks - I mean he /was/ Tom Hanks. He was making a movie and I happened to notice him out of the corner of my eye. I walked on stage in the middle of the take, and shook his hand. He was a little confused but he rolled with it. I thanked him for making the calibre of film that he made and started to walk away. He stopped me and insisted that I punch him in the arm - which I did lightly. Only after that did I notice that the director had come over (no one that I recognize). 'Tom' was covering for the fact that I had interrupted the shoot. He acted as though I shouldn't be stopped, and I mumbled something vague like "I'm not trying to give you a REAL hard time, but...".

I left the set, and started walking down the road like Bill Bixby only to have 'Tom' come out after me on bicycle. He caught up because I had been so 'genuine' that he wanted to hang out.

That was the end of the dream.
