mrlich: Photo with great thanks to Joe del Tufo - http://www.deltufophotography.com (cocky)
Caption This!So [livejournal.com profile] xtingu  and I got to talking about the fact that an old friend of mine and I are back in touch. He's working on a children's book that has something to do with lobsters, so he had asked if I can draw lobsters. The discussion of this, between [livejournal.com profile] xtingu  and myself turned... well... see for yourself.

So I finished the drawing with her adding input as I went, and we found ourselves wondering what he should be saying. I leave that to you dear readers.

So you've probably all forgotten the little experiment that I started back in February.

Well I didn't. It was driving me nuts that I never did finish the portraits that I had promised. I had plenty of steam to do an hour on [livejournal.com profile] lafemmekatia's image.

I slowed down a bit and lost a bit of drive while working on [livejournal.com profile] theseitz's image of Rodney Dangerfield. I sucked it up and worked on him for a little over 1/2 hour. Poor Rodney. You've looked better buddy.

I have just finished (at long last) the image I promised for [livejournal.com profile] anisette_toast. I actually found this one coming together fairly quickly. There was a lot going on here tonight, and while I would think that should be an 'excuse' for why the image didn't turn out the way I wanted, it actually seemed to be the reverse. In just 1/2 hour (ok - maybe a touch more) I felt comfortable calling it a night.

Captain AmericaQuick Cap...

I did a 15 minute sketch of Captain America for the meme. I would have liked to spend more time on him, but since I put him off for so long already...

Maybe I'll clean him up later.

Supergirl!... or at least as done as she's getting. It's way too late for me to put more into this. I enjoyed the hell out of doing it though, and I think that I have made some forward progress. I have to say thanks here to [livejournal.com profile] dryponder for coming up with yet another great art meme. I mean really - how many folks are out there creating art memes?

Well... okay, there are probably quite a few. Perhaps it would be better so say: "How many people are out there creating art meme's that I want to take part in?" So anyway - thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dryponder for coming up with an art meme that was fun to do! See the list of other submissions here.

Oh, and for those of you who know her - no, the resemblance to my ex was entirely NOT intentional, though I think it works for what I was trying to do.
