productive evening last night
Nov. 10th, 2011 10:02 amHad a good night last night. Stayed at the office to keep myself from getting distracted. Wrote a couple posts for Dragonbones/NaNoWriMo. Got a call to photographers out that I've been meaning to write for a while.
When I got home, I did the smart thing and put my sweats on right awa and headed down to the gym. I've had the idea in my head for a while now that 1 hour/day is the right amount of time to spend doing some sort of workout. As I was currently getting 0 aerobic exercise, that's been my starting point. I've been speed walking on the lowest setting for the elliptical, and last night I hit the 50 minute mark.
When I can consistently hit one hour (preferably on a harder setting and at least jogging) I'll be happy. I'm making it a point to not pay attention to my weight. I figure that I'll know when I'm healthier.

Date: 2011-11-10 06:23 pm (UTC)If you figure my waking hours are roughly 8am to midnight, that means that's 16 hours. One hour out of that time is 6% (6.25 if you want to be precise). 6% doesn't seem like a lot to be healthy.
We'll see. I'll allow for the idea that I might change my attitude over time, but for right now, I've fallen wayyy too far down the "I'll do it later." slope.
ETA: Thanks, by the way. It makes 'gritting my teeth and bearing it' much more doable when I know folks who I respect are paying attention. :)
